Keto Avocado Toast with Low-Carb Sliced Bread

A rich, creamy, low-carb savory breakfast designed for those looking for a satisfying yet simple dish to prepare.

Our Low-Carb Sliced Bread is toasted until golden and crispy, then topped with a lemon avocado spread and finished with a pan-cooked egg. The result is a soft, fragrant toast that is also perfect for a quick brunch or a light lunch.

Ingredients

For 1 toast

Ingredient Quantity
Low-Carb Sliced Bread 2 slices
Ripe avocado 1 small, approx. 100g of flesh
Egg 1
Lemon juice 10 g
Extra virgin olive oil 5 g
Fine salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Preparation time

Total time: approx. 12 minutes
Preparation: 5 minutes
Egg cooking: 3 minutes
Bread toasting: 3-4 minutes

Preparation

1. Prepare the avocado cream

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.

Place it in a bowl and add the lemon juice.

Mash with a fork until you have a creamy consistency, but not completely smooth.

Add salt and freshly ground black pepper, then mix well.

2. Cook the egg

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a non-stick pan.

Gently crack the egg and cook over medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes, keeping the yolk soft.

If you prefer a firmer yolk, extend the cooking time by 1-2 minutes.

3. Toast the Low-Carb Sliced Bread

Toast the two slices of Low-Carb Sliced Bread in a pan or toaster until golden and slightly crispy.

This step is important: the crunchiness of the bread balances the creaminess of the avocado and egg.

4. Assemble the toast

Spread the avocado cream onto the two slices of toasted bread.

Place the egg on top of one slice and close with the other.

Serve immediately, while the bread is still warm and crispy.

Chef's tips

You can top the toast with an extra grind of black pepper or a pinch of sweet paprika.

For an even richer version, you can add a few slices of smoked salmon or a small amount of sesame or hemp seeds.

Why it works

This avocado toast is perfect for a low-carb savory breakfast because it combines low carb counts, a good amount of healthy fats, and a very satisfying structure.

The Low-Carb Sliced Bread replaces traditional bread, while the avocado and egg make the dish creamy, nutritious, and complete without the need for sugary sauces or ingredients.
